A Message from BRANNJ President, Glen Lumia
The past few weeks have been tests of patience and understanding as well as a shock to what Mother Nature can deliver when she really wants to deliver. Hurricane Sandy, a super storm, devastated the New Jersey coastline and the follow up was a nor'easter, which dropped between 5' and 13', overwhelming an already fatigued effort to restore power, clean up and assessment of damage. Our state association, NJBA, has set up a website designed to help with any and all information regarding these storms and can be found by clicking here > NJBA Hurricane Sandy Relief Effort.
Also, please make sure to let all of your family and friends know that with every disaster comes opportunistic people. Beware unregistered contractors, don't give down payments for work not started and always check with The Builders and Remodelers Association of Northern New Jersey (BRANNJ) if you or your loved ones need assistance in finding quality contractors. BRANNJ will be working side by side with our sister locals here in NJ, under the direction of NJBA. We will be giving periodic updates through member emails as well as posting in our LinkedIn Group and Facebook page.
We hope your lives return to normalcy soon and that your heartaches mend. Our thoughts and prayers go out to all those affected.
