Message from BRANNJ President

The Builders and Remodelers Association of Northern New Jersey (BRANNJ) held a Superstorm Sandy Update Panel meeting on October 17 at Sax, Macy, Fromm & Co. in Clifton.

The panel gave an informative presentation on post-Sandy concerns including engineering and structural changes, building codes, tax implications, FEMA and legal issues regarding the northern New Jersey housing market and building industry.

Featured panelists included: David B. Fisher, PP, AICP, K. Hovnanian Homes; Jeff Kolakowski; Charles A. Yuen, Esq., Scarinci Hollenbeck, vice president Governmental Affairs, New Jersey Builders Association (NJBA); Tony DiLodovico, Omland Engineering Associates; William C. Sullivan, Jr., Esq., Scarinci Hollenbeck; and Michael A. Mongelli, CPA, Sax, Macy, Fromm.

All attorney and engineer attendees received continuing education credits through NJBA.

On a sad note, BRANNJ would like to extend heartfelt condolences to Bob Schrumpf (North Jersey Media Group), longtime BRANNJ associate member and friend, on the recent passing of his mother.
