President's Message
Dear
Members,
The Builders
and Remodelers Association of Northern New Jersey is a star player amongst its
counterparts within the State of New Jersey.
I am pleased to be a member, having served on
the board of directors for the past two years and am honored to have been
selected President for 2015.
Along with all
the board members, our mission is simple. We will move our organization forward
with the interests of our membership as priority one.
There are
exciting events planned for 2015. I am looking forward to our panel discussions
and seminars as well as social events like the Murder Mystery Comedy night and
our Annual Golf Outing & Scholarship
Awards.
I urge you
all to visit our website and set all the events on your calendars. You will be
happy you did.
I would also
ask your help. Please become our spokesperson. Help us spread the word about the
many programs and services offered by our organization and the great service we
can be to all builders, remodelers and associates.

from NAHB Chairman Kevin Kelly on
President Obama’s FHA Announcement
January 8, 2015 - Kevin Kelly, chairman of the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) and a home builder and developer from Wilmington, Del., today issued the following statement on President Obama’s announcement that the Federal Housing Administration (FHA) will reduce its annual mortgage insurance premiums:
“NAHB commends the President for taking action to reduce FHA’s annual mortgage insurance premiums by 50 basis points to 0.85 percent. Lower premiums will make home loans more affordable for qualified borrowers, particularly first-time buyers, and help to alleviate tight credit conditions in the mortgage market. This prudent course reflects a recent actuarial report that FHA is back in black and strengthening its financial health. The new premium structure will allow FHA to continue building its reserves.”
