NAHB: Leaders in Congress Urged to Adopt Strong Housing Agenda
NJBA's MLUL Preliminary/Final Proposal Released by Committee

S2788 (Van Drew), an NJBA initiative that is the product of NJBA Past President David
Fisher's Municipal Land Use Law (MLUL) Reform Task Force,
was released unanimously by the Senate Community and Urban Affairs Committee
and now awaits consideration by the full Senate. David Fisher of K. Hovnanian
Homes testified at the Committee hearing in support of the bill, which would
amend the MLUL by simplifying and streamlining the application and review
process for preliminary site plan and subdivision approval, consistent with the
original intent of the MLUL. NJBA is now working on getting the bill posted for
a floor vote in the Senate and having it introduced in the General Assembly.
