President's Message
Dear Members,
I am humbled to have been selected to serve as President of
the Builders Association of Northern NJ for 2019. Along with my fellow Officers and Board
Members I want to thank you all for your continued support.
As an Associate Member and Board Member for over
10 years, I am excited to lead our
Local, in this our 75th year. I look forward to meeting with membership and working to strengthen our
organization.
This year we have several events already planned including
our Annual Golf Outing and end of year Beefsteak. Returning this year is an old favorite-Texas
Hold-em. I know I can count on great
turnouts and sponsorships.
Watch for panel discussions and seminars throughout the year. The goal of the educational seminars is to cover issues that concern Associates and Builders alike.

In March, BANNJ plans to cover the Hot Topic-Marijuana Legislation in NJ
and how it will affect your workplace.
I do ask one favor.
Let as many of your colleagues and contemporaries know about the
importance of supporting our Local and State Organization. It may not always seem apparent but rest assured
they are tirelessly working to protect our interests and further a beneficial
agenda for builders. Strong and vibrant
construction makes for a healthy economy which benefits all.

75th Anniversary Installation
& Awards Celebration
Thank you to
all who attended our special 75th Anniversary Installation Dinner on
January 24th at The Graycliff.
All enjoyed an evening of great
food, live music and networking to celebrate this milestone occasion. Thank you to our Master of Ceremonies, Jeff
Mathieu, to Dean Mon, NAHB First Vice Chair, for performing the installation
ceremony of the President, Officers and Board and to Kemp Music for providing
us with wonderful entertainment.

To be eligible for this award, nominees must have received Builder of the Year, Builder Continuing Service, the Silver Hammer (received at least 5 years ago), and has remained active in the Association for at least 25 years continuing to serve the building industry.

To be eligible for this award, nominees must have received Associate of the Year, Associate Continuing Service, the Silver Hammer (received at least 5 years ago), and has remained active in the Association for at least 25 years continuing to serve the building industry.

"Builder Hall of Fame"
To be inducted into the Builder Hall of Fame, a recipient must be an active Builder member who has made honorable commitment to the Association and the industry for a minimum of 10 years. All nominees must have already received the Builder of the Year Award or Builder Continuing Service or demonstrated leadership roles at the state level with continued & impactful participation in the Association. More than one award may be made annually if warranted.

The Ironman Award is given to our “Associate Heroes,” those who literally go the distance in support of their locals. They should have a record of high attendance at local meetings and other functions, extensive participation on a variety of committees, boards, task forces, etc. and mentor other members with a goal toward increasing contributions to and involvement in the Association.
