A Message from our Newly Installed President
Charles Baldanza 2013 BRANNJ President |
As a fourth
generation builder and third generation member of this association, it is with
great pride and enthusiasm that I look forward to being your 2013
President. In this role, I hope to
follow the incredible standard set by Glen Lumia, one of the strongest leaders
in our 69-year history. I am grateful
that his role with BRANNJ will continue as the Chairman of the Board. Our outgoing Chairman, Jeff Mathieu, has been
a role model to me and has dedicated countless hours of his time over the years
to our group. 2013 will be an exciting time for BRANNJ, and I am confident that
our association will maintain and enhance its position as an indispensable
resource for the building professional. Our meetings and classes give unique
access to information about codes, techniques, the latest practices and
building science. Membership in BRANNJ
and by extension the NJBA and NAHB gives our members a voice with policy
makers, and our health insurance program can potentially provide great savings.
Our greatest
asset is our group of associate members, who make available their expertise,
resources and range of services to our builder members. I want to ensure that our events continue to
be opportunities to meet people in our industry, compare notes and have some
fun. In order to strengthen BRANNJ and maintain our momentum I ask that all
members try to participate as much as possible, and invite colleagues and
friends to our events. I firmly believe that the more people see what a great
group we have, and what a valuable resource our association is and can be, the
more our membership will increase.
Members should also make their BRANNJ affiliation known in their sales
and marketing materials- your customers should know that your company is a
member of a local, statewide and national association of building industry
professionals united for the betterment of the industry. With the help of our outstanding Board of
Directors and our Executive Vice President, Kathleen Kurpiel, I am confident
that all together we can make 2013 a fantastic year for BRANNJ
Best regards and a successful New Year,
Charlie

Volunteers always win.
Whenever you raise your hand you wind up being asked to do more.
That's great. Doing more is an opportunity: to learn, to impress, to gain skills, to build new relationships--to do something more than you would otherwise been able to do.
Success is based on action. The more you volunteer, the more you get to act. Successful people step forward to create opportunities.
Remarkably successful people sprint forward.
