BANNJ President's Message

Dear BANNJ Members,

I would like to wish everyone a very Happy, Healthy and Safe New Year!

This past year has been unlike any other, with many challenges that have tested us all, both personally and professionally. A special thanks to our Executive Officer, Kathleen M. Kurpiel, and our Executive Board for their continued efforts in keeping BANNJ a viable entity. We are fortunate to have maintained our membership levels when other organizations are struggling. Thanks to all of our members for continuing to support our efforts and events.

With the start of a new year, we have the opportunity to build new collaborations and opportunities among our members. Our 2021 Officers will be installed at our Virtual Board Meeting on January 11th. 

Also on January 11, at 10:00 am, we will be hosting the 2021 Economic Housing Forecast, presented by NAHB Chief Economist Dr. Robert Dietz. We hope everyone will take advantage of this opportunity to hear Dr. Dietz, a highly respected economist with experience forecasting housing & economic trends, housing & tax issues, and has testified before the House Ways and Means Committee, the Senate Finance Committee, and the Senate Banking Subcommittee on Economic Policy, and has worked as an economist for the Congressional Joint Committee on Taxation. Please make sure you register online by 12:00 pm on January 8th.

March 11th brings us a virtual cooking class with well-known SubZero Corporate Chef, Ann Marie, who will be teaching us how to make some tasty Irish-inspired culinary fare while we improve our cooking skills. 

I want to take this opportunity to welcome the members of the Builders Association of Northern New Jersey to the NJBA Virtual Neighborhood. I look forward to using this new tool to communicate with all the BANNJ members. While this platform provides the Association at large the ability to connect with one another, this area provides the freedom for our members to interact privately. We will post upcoming events and opportunities here and reach out with issues that are specific to our area of the state. On this platform we will be able to share ideas, documents, videos and other valuable tools that will help our association thrive and grow.

Thank you for your support of the Builders Association of Northern New Jersey and for your confidence in me as I begin my third year guiding this organization as President. I look forward to a New Year filled with possibilities. Check our website regularly to keep up to date with upcoming educational events and activities.

Wayne Tile Company, established in 1953, is a family owned and operated business headquartered in Wayne, NJ.  The company has retail locations located in Wayne, Ramsey, Rockaway, Sussex, and a new showroom coming to Manasquan in early 2020.  Wayne Tile is primarily a direct importer, retailer, and distributor of high-quality tiles with most items being produced at the premier tile factories of Italy.  With distribution hubs in Pompton Plains, NJ and Rockland, MA the company utilizes its extensive inventory to serve dealers stretching from Virginia to Maine.  Although Wayne Tile focuses on serving residential customers, the company has also worked with Designers and Architects on large projects in both the commercial and hospitality spaces.  Now in its third generation, Wayne Tile looks forward to continued growth in New Jersey as the company continues to find new ways to better serve its Contractor, Designer, Architect, and Retail clientele.
