 President's Message

BANNJ President John Cioletti

BANNJ held our 77th Annual Installation of Officers and Board of Directors on January 11, 2021 in a virtual format.  Congratulations to all (see last page below), and I am proud to serve with you this year as President.  Special thanks to Jeff Kolakowski, New Jersey Builders Association CEO, who performed the Installation Ceremony and gave a brief NJBA legislative update.

Following, the National Association of Home Builders’ (NAHB) Chief Economist, Dr. Robert Dietz, gave a very informative and valuable Economic & Housing Forecast presentation on the housing market and economy moving into 2021 and beyond.  We thank Dr. Dietz for sharing  his incredible institutional knowledge with our members as he continues to be a great resource for the association and the building industry.

Be sure to join us on Thursday, March 11th for a Virtual Cooking Class by Sub Zero Corporate Chef AnnMarie Soohoo!  Learn how to make traditional Irish Soda Bread just in time to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day. Congratulations to following BANNJ Members who were recently recognized in January for their accomplishments at NJBA and NAHB:

The Ironman Award is given by NJBA to an associate member at each local who exemplifies the meaning of a dedicated, involved member by attendance at events, participation on the board and/or committees and providing guidance and mentorship to other members.  Much appreciation to our BANNJ Ironman winner, Candy Gordon-Geanoules.

The National Association of Home Builders held its annual meeting over the past few weeks during which NJBA members and entities were recognized for exemplary service to the industry and the Association.

Rich Robinson, Member Rebate Program was recognized by the Associates Committee with the Bill Polley Advocate of BUILD-PAC Award for his support and promotion of the National PAC.

Rich is also a finalist for Associate of the Year, which will be announced during The Nationals on March 5, 2021. At this ceremony NAHB will also honor PWB Woman of the Year, Remodeler of the Year, Custom Home Builder of the Year, GIA International Home of the Year and the Young Professionals Awards.

Congratulations to following BANNJ Members who will be serving in NAHB Leadership roles this year:

He is the first Associate member to ever hold this distinguished position. The NAHB State Representatives mission is to relay NAHB initiatives to their respective state and local associations while bringing to NAHB the challenges faced back home, they represent two thirds of the full Board of Directors.
